Best of Kevin Kern - 20th Anniversary ConcertCritically-acclaimed and best-selling New Age pianist Kevin Kern returns to Singapore after six years. He will be performing at The Star Theatre, The Star Performing Arts Centre, on 10 September 2016 (Saturday), 8pm for one night only.

“Best of Kevin Kern LIVE – 20th Anniversary Concert” is a mesmerizing concert celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Kevin Kern’s legendary New Age debut album “In The Enchanted Garden”, which sold triple platinum in Asia. In the years since, he has released over 10 best-selling albums globally and his recordings have ranged from the classically flavored cinematic melodies of “Summer Daydreams” to the organic acoustic textures of “The Winding Path”. Six Billboard charting releases have also established Kevin Kern as one of the genre’s most successful composers and performers.

Kevin Kern shares more on the upcoming concert in Singapore and on his upcoming new album, “A good part of this concert will be focused on celebrating the 20th anniversary of my first CD, “In The Enchanted Garden”. I can’t believe it’s been that long. I certainly don’t feel twenty years older! I’ll also be sharing music from my brand new solo piano CD. It’s my first album of original music in eight years. The melodies on this recording are drawn from the influences that shaped me musically over the years. That includes everything from classical music to jazz, as well as contemporary popular classics. I’m very proud of it and I can’t wait to share.

Besides hearing Kevin Kern’s familiar and popular pieces ‘live’ – such as “Sundial Dreams”, “Through the Arbor”, “The Enchanted Garden”, “Le Jardin”, “Return to Love” and many more including his new music, also expect surprises and local favorites as a bonus at the concert. It will be a beautiful night of nostalgia not to be missed.

Kevin Kern’s “Le Jardin” and “Return to Love” were prominently featured in the groundbreaking Korean drama, “Autumn in My Heart”. The drama has been seen by more than 100 million people in over 40 countries, and has been instrumental in growing Kevin Kern’s global audience. Sold-out concert tours have taken him through the US and Asia with performances in Korea, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan and China.

Though Kevin Kern was legally blind since birth, he was still determined to be a pianist and his exceptional talent soon became clear. His music has not only inspires and impacted piano enthusiasts and students, but also to general lovers of emotional music. His tunes have touched listeners from all walks of life, and have long been part of weddings as well as moments of physical and emotional healing. From the young aspiring pianist learning to play “Through the Arbor”, to the bride walking down the aisle to “Sundial Dreams”, or to the cancer survivor who drew strength from listening to “A Gentle Whisper” while enduring chemotherapy. Kevin Kern’s music has become a part of his fans’ lives.

Says Kevin Kern on returning to Singapore after six years, “I’m really looking forward to returning and seeing all my Singapore friends again. Your constant support and encouragement have changed my life and provided a wellspring of creative inspiration. Singapore has a special place in my heart because it was there that I first heard young piano students learning to play my music. That was a truly inspiring experience which warms my heart to this day. Not only that, every time I come to Singapore, I feel as though I’m being welcomed home. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and I’ll see you in September!

Limited number of VIP tickets are available for this one night only concert. VIP ticket holders will receive a special anniversary memorabilia and will also be entitled to a rare opportunity to meet and greet exclusively with Kevin Kern after the concert. He will also personally autograph on the special anniversary memorabilia.
