ITZY THE 1ST WORLD TOUR <CHECKMATE> is the first worldwide concert tour by South Korean girl group ITZY, held in support of the group’s fifth Korean extended play “CHECKMATE” (2022). The world tour kicked off in Seoul, South Korea on 6th August 2022, and will continue onto several cities throughout Asia and North America. This is the group’s first ever concert tour since their debut in 2019, and they will be coming to Singapore to perform on 28th January 2023 at The Star Theatre.

ITZY officially debuted on 12th February 2019 under JYP Entertainment, consisting of members: YEJI, LIA, RYUJIN, CHAERYEONG and YUNA. On the same day, the group released their debut single album, “IT’z Different” led by the single “DALLA DALLA”. The song incorporated elements from EDM sub-genres such as future house and bass house, and its empowering lyrics were well received by the public. The group scored one of the biggest Billboard debuts for a new K-pop act in years, with “DALLA DALLA” entering at number three and peaking at number two on the World Digital Song Sales chart. “DALLA DALLA” also debuted as the second most popular song on YouTube. Billboard confirmed that the music video surpassed 17.1 million views within 24 hours of its release and broke the record for the most viewed K-pop debut music video within 24 hours.

ITZY received their first music show win 8 days after their debut, breaking the record for the fastest time for a girl group to achieve their first music show win. The song went on to win on music shows nine times, and its music video became the fastest K-pop debut music video to reach 100 million views on YouTube at the time. “DALLA DALLA” surpassed 100 million streams on Gaon Music Chart by November 2019, earning the group their first platinum certification. It was the first debut song by a K-pop group to earn a platinum certification from the Korea Music Content Association (KMCA).

ITZY released their first extended play (EP), “IT’z ICY” on 29th July 2019, along with the lead single “Icy”, which continued the group’s success on music shows, earning 12 wins in total. ITZY is the first K-pop girl group to achieve a “Rookie Grand Slam”, with accolades including Rookie of the Year at the 34th Golden Disc Awards, New Artist of the Year at the 9th Gaon Chart Music Awards and 2019 Melon Music Awards, Best New Female Artist at the 2019 Mnet Asian Music Awards, and the New Artist Award at the 29th Seoul Music Awards.

Admission Rules:

  1. Admission to show/venue by full ticket only. Printed tickets must be produced for admission.
  2. Infants in arms and children under 3 years old will not be admitted into the performance venue.
  3. Adults and children 3 years old and above will each require a ticket for admission.
  4. No photography and videography allowed.
  5. STRICTLY No Social Media Live Streaming is allowed.
  6. No outside food and beverage are allowed into the venue.

Exchange and Refund Policy:

  1. The Organiser/Venue Owner reserves the right without refund or compensation to refuse admission/evict any person(s) whose conduct is disorderly or inappropriate or who poses a threat to security, or to the enjoyment of the Event by others.
  2. Ticket holders assume all risk of injury and all responsibility for property loss, destruction or theft and release the promoters, performers, sponsors, ticket outlets, venues, and their employees from any liability thereafter.
  3. The resale of ticket(s) at the same or any price in excess of the initial purchase price is prohibited.
  4. There is no refund, exchange, upgrade, or cancellation once ticket(s) are sold.
  5. We would like to caution members of the public against purchasing tickets from unauthorized sellers or 3rd party websites. By purchasing tickets through these non-authorized points of sale, buyers take on the risk that the validity of the tickets cannot be guaranteed, with no refunds possible.⁠
