Our well-loved “national treasure”, Kit Chan, returns this June with a 2-night concert, Spellbound. Four years after the widely lauded The Music Room, Kit returns with Spellbound to enthrall her fans.

On the concept of Spellbound, Kit feels that the best experience for an audience as well as a performer is the state of being held spellbound. She opines, “After the success of The Music Room, I am encouraged to continue in the minimalist dramatic style I personally favour, devising a new concert that will allow me to share with my fans the diverse musical elements I so love, with minimal distracting staging, and maximum focus on the essence of what is being sung or played.”

Once again, Kit reprises the key role of creative director for the concert, collaborating with an all-Singaporean team to bring to life her concept and their collective ideas. She brings on board long-time theater working partners, Dorothy Png and Bang Wenfu, well-known music arranger who has worked with Kit on hit musicals The Forbidden City and 雨季 (December Rains). Expect to be spellbound by Kit’s remakes as well as renditions of her hit songs such as Heartache 心疼, Loving You 喜欢你, Worries 担心, If There Are Seasons 天冷就回来, Tempting Heart 心动, Waiting 等了又等 and more!
