Grammy Award-winning dancehall reggae icon Shaggy is returning to Singapore for an unforgettable night of reggae, dancehall and pure Caribbean energy. Presented by Offshore Entertainment, Shaggy "Mr Boombastic" Live in Singapore is happening on 2 October 2026 at The Star Theatre. It's gonna be a dancehall reggae concert you don't want to miss.
Born Orville Richard Burrell in Kingston, Jamaica and forged through the reggae dancehall underground of Brooklyn, New York, Shaggy is a U.S. Marine veteran turned global hitmaker. The only diamond-certified dancehall artist in music history, he has sold over 40 million albums and surpassed 5 billion streams on Spotify, ranking alongside Bob Marley and Sean Paul as one of the top three most-streamed Jamaican reggae dancehall artists of all time.
The catalogue of Shaggy songs defines the 90s reggae dancehall era, whose influence has only grown with time: from the diamond-selling "It Wasn't Me" (1.25 billion Spotify streams) to the timeless "Angel", the Grammy-winning "Mr Boombastic", and the viral "Banana" phenomenon that reached 2 billion streams and 5 billion TikTok video views. His career also spans a Grammy-winning collaboration with Sting for the album "44/876", executive producing Spice's Grammy-nominated debut, and the Grammy-nominated "Com Fly Wid Mi" — Frank Sinatra's songbook reimagined in full Jamaican dancehall reggae style.
