One of America’s most enduring vocalists, Belinda Carlisle rose to fame in the early 1980’s where she gained worldwide fame as the lead vocalist of the Go-Go’s.
The band sold eight million albums in just three years and had chart-topping hits such as “Our Lips Are Sealed”, “We Got the Beat” and “Vacation”.
Carlisle went on to have a successful solo career with smash hits such as “Heaven is a Place On Earth”, “Circle in the Sand”, “Leave a Light On”, “Summer Rain”, “Vision of You”, “I Get Weak”, “La Luna”, “Runaway Horses”, “Mad About You”, “In Too Deep”, and “We Want The Same Thing”. Many of these hits are staples in the playlist of Singapore’s most popular retro party “Mambo Jambo Night”.
“Heaven on Earth” went multi-platinum globally and is Belinda’s most beloved album three decades on. It also won her a Grammy Nomination for Best Pop Vocal Performance – Female, for the legendary title track.
The Heaven 30th Anniversary Tour will be at The Star Theatre, The Star Performing Arts Centre, 11th November 2017, 8pm. Carlisle will perform tracks from the classic album “Heaven On Earth” along with her back catalogue of popular material.
